About The Position
The Resident Aide provides direct care to residents at Capstone Village, primarily supporting activities of daily living. The role also assists with therapeutic and restorative activities and completes documentation required by the facility. The Resident Aide helps residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercise. The role includes transferring, transporting, and escorting residents as needed; helping residents reach the dining area or providing meals in their quarters; setting up trays and assisting with feeding; documenting intake or nourishment; and serving between-meal nourishment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of healthcare work experience.
- Complete dementia training within five days of employment.
- Communication and listening skills.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s/dementia care.
- Successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation, including review of information from social media and other internet sources.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification.
- DETA training.
