About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides services to assigned residents in accordance with care plans and facility policies and procedures, under the direction of supervisors. The role involves compassionate routine daily nursing care and assistance with residents’ personal care and meals. The employee is expected to participate in scheduled training and educational classes to obtain certification as a Nursing Assistant.

Requirements

• Must have at least a 10th-grade education.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication competencies.
• Background and experience in shared decision-making processes.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assigned residents with compassionate routine daily nursing care and service.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes to obtain certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Assist residents with dental, mouth, bath, and other care functions as necessary.
• Prepare residents for meals and serve food.
• Record residents’ food and fluid intake.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
