About The Position

The Residence Life Specialist organizes engaging resident events that promote personal growth, healthy lifestyles, academic success, and community involvement. The role collaborates with university partners to facilitate residence life activities and orientations and supports a high-quality living experience at the property. Reporting to the Resident Experience Manager, the specialist also supports resident communications, feedback and improvement planning, lease policy enforcement, property upkeep, roommate assignments, and office administration.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in the student or multifamily housing industry.
• Experience in residence life, student development, wellness programming, event planning, and crisis prevention and intervention.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize resident events to enhance the living experience at the property.
• Create events that promote residents’ personal growth, healthy lifestyles, and academic success.
• Coordinate residence life activities, orientations, and similar events with university partners.
• Set up and attend resident functions while staying informed about event requests and resident lifestyle needs.
• Complete and distribute community newsletters in a timely manner.
• Assist with collecting resident feedback and survey results and creating action plans for improvement.
• Help oversee lease policy enforcement, including follow-up and management of resident misconduct in partnership with a supervisor.
• Partner with the service team to help ensure the property is well-maintained and meets curb appeal standards.
• Help coordinate roommate assignments, as applicable.
• Assist with office administrative tasks, including package management.
• Serve as an American Campus representative and liaison in all interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
