About The Position

Liberty Resources is hiring a per diem Residence Counselor to provide coverage at Venture House, a community residence in Oneida, New York, serving adults age 18 and older diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness. The role performs functions relevant to the Office of Mental Health (OMH) program and assists residents with activities of daily living. The Residence Counselor works in accordance with program standards and applicable NYS Part 595 regulations. This role provides coverage according to the staffing plan, including overnights as required. Available shifts are weekend overnights from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and weekend day/evening shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The starting rate is $20.06 per hour. Requirements

High school diploma required.
Valid driver's license required.
Access to reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
Prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform restorative services for designated clientele as directed by the program supervisor and in compliance with NYS Part 595 regulations.
Provide advocacy, supportive counseling, referral, and linkage services for program residents as needed and assigned by the program supervisor.
Maintain a residential experience consistent with high standards of service delivery.
Provide program coverage as reflected in the staffing plan, including overnights as required.
Complete required documentation within timelines and in accordance with program standards.
Assist residents with activities of daily living.
