About The Position

The MINDSET Lab in the Department of Psychology within the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University invites applications for a full-time Research Technician position. Directed by Dr. Jasmeet Hayes, the lab examines the effects of traumatic brain injury (TBI)/concussion and psychological trauma on cognition and brain function using advanced neuroimaging approaches, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This position supports a federally funded research program at the intersection of clinical neuroscience and psychology. The Research Technician will assist with the day-to-day activities of a research project examining links between concussion and accelerated aging.

Requirements

• At least one (1) year of relevant experience supporting laboratory or research activities following established procedures, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to follow established protocols and procedures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Prior research experience, particularly in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field, is preferred.
• Basic experience with research or laboratory environments preferred

Responsibilities

• Supporting the maintenance of research data and repositories
• Assisting with study documentation
• Providing support for IRB submissions and amendments following established procedures
• Assisting with the processing of behavioral and MRI data using established protocols and under the guidance of senior research staff
• Supporting general lab operations, such as research-related purchasing and maintaining lab materials and resources to ensure efficient lab functioning
