About The Position

This is a full research assistant position to work on research investigating spatial navigation and the role of sleep and physical activity in younger adults and older adults with and without risk of Alzheimer disease using a real-world environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • A driver's license is not required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SPSS, STATA, and/or R statistical programs.
  • Experience with Psychopy and/or e-prime.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge and programming skills.
  • Experience with older adult research participants.
  • Research experience.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently, and take initiative.
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit study participants for multiple study sessions.
  • Run participants through research protocol, including spatial navigation assessment at the St. Louis Art Museum, actigraphy, cognitive testing, and self-report questionnaires.
  • Data management, including checking for timeliness and completeness, logging, and entering data.
  • Organize data sets to be shared with various members of the research team.
  • Process and QC data, including actigraphy and cognitive data.
  • Coordinate undergraduate research assistants.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
