Mindrift is recruiting adults in the Santa Clara Valley (South Bay), California, for a paid, in-person research study about communication and interaction in everyday group conversations. Participants join a guided conversation with 2–4 people, led by a trained moderator. Topics are everyday and non-sensitive, such as planning a birthday celebration or making everyday decisions. The session lasts about 90 minutes and is recorded on video and audio for research purposes. Participants check in on site with a coordinator, who guides them through the process. Participation is voluntary and covered by a signed consent form explaining what is involved and how recordings are used and stored. Participants may ask questions or withdraw. Each person may participate once. Eligible participants receive $110 through Mindrift after completing the session; travel costs are not covered. To apply, register on Mindrift and complete a short screening questionnaire. Eligible applicants will be invited to book a session. Sessions take place on weekdays from November 2026 through March 2027.
