About The Position

Research Scientists are staff appointees who hold a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree and enable research programs through collaborative, collegial interactions with faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and staff. A Research Scientist may devote their effort entirely to research or combine research with training and laboratory management activities.

Requirements

• Terminal degree, such as a Ph.D., M.D., or D.V.M.
• At least 5 years of relevant research experience after completion of the terminal degree.
• Technical skills and competencies to conduct quantifiable, meaningful research.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds at all levels, internally and externally.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a positive, contributing team member.
• Ability to use a keyboard and standardized word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Ability to prioritize work and perform assignments with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Work experience in an academic environment.
• More than 5 years of professional research work experience.
