Research Scientist

The Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2) is seeking Research Scientists at all levels to work on exciting research projects in computer vision, including embodied AI, language and vision, visual reasoning, and more. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in one or more of the research areas listed and extensive work experience publishing peer-reviewed work at top scientific venues in the field. Research Scientists will have the opportunity to lead select projects, mentor interns and pre-doctoral candidates, and collaborate with researchers at other organizations, including universities. • Work in a variety of research areas in computer vision including embodied AI, language and vision, visual knowledge extraction, visual reasoning, representation learning, scene analysis and understanding, recognition, detection and segmentation, efficient deep learning, and more.
• Work on multiple exciting research projects in the above areas.
• Lead select projects, mentor interns and pre-doctoral candidates, author and present scientific papers and presentations for peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and collaborate with researchers at other organizations including universities.

• Strong foundation (typically PhD level) in one or more of the research areas listed including embodied AI, language and vision, visual knowledge extraction, visual reasoning, representation learning, scene analysis and understanding, recognition, detection and segmentation, efficient deep learning, and more.
• Extensive work experience and publishing peer reviewed work at top scientific venues in the field including CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, etc.
