Research Internship

The Aristo project is expanding its mission towards problems requiring both reading and explanation, and the role requires new advances in machine reading, natural language understanding, common-sense knowledge acquisition, machine inference, and more. The successful candidate will work with world-class AI researchers and talented software engineers in a team-based, ambitious research environment, with a mandate to strive for big breakthroughs, not just incremental progress.

• Apply natural language processing, machine learning, knowledge representation, semantics, question answering, or computer vision skills to the next generation of intelligent systems
• Work on the Aristo project to solve problems that require modeling, reasoning, and explanation
• Participate in team-based, ambitious research with a mandate to strive for big breakthroughs in AI
• Collaborate with world-class AI researchers and talented software engineers
• Mentor interns and participate in AI2's groundbreaking work
• Contribute to humanity through AI2's treatment of each member of the AI2 Team, valuing diversity, inclusion, and a healthy work/life balance

• Applicants should have an interest in natural language processing, machine learning, knowledge representation, semantics, question answering, textual entailment, or computer vision.
• PhD, Masters and Undergraduate students in computer science are invited to apply for an internship on the Aristo team year-round.
• All interns are paired with an Aristo mentor and participate in AI2's groundbreaking work.
