Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. The Bai Lab in the Basic Sciences Division has an opening for a Summer 2026, fixed-term, paid research intern to work part-time in a laboratory that uses C. elegans as a model system to understand the basic mechanisms underlying the brain's ability to produce sensation, perception, and behavior.
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a relevant scientific field
- Candidates should be organized and work well with others

Responsibilities
- Assisting the lab with general laboratory duties such as making culture dishes for growing C. elegans and bacteria
- Other assigned duties to support the research program
- Be rigorous, transparent, and ethical in your research
- Be respectful to all members of the lab and broader Hutch community
