The Bai Lab in the Basic Sciences Division has an opening for a Summer 2026, fixed-term, paid research intern to work part-time in a laboratory that uses C. elegans as a model system to understand the basic mechanisms underlying the brain's ability to produce sensation, perception, and behavior.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a relevant scientific field
  • Candidates should be organized and work well with others

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the lab with general laboratory duties such as making culture dishes for growing C. elegans and bacteria
  • Other assigned duties to support the research program
  • Be rigorous, transparent, and ethical in your research
  • Be respectful to all members of the lab and broader Hutch community
