About The Position

The Research Fellow position in Life Sciences requires knowledge of clinical-based or laboratory-based research, often gained through postdoctoral training. This temporary position provides research training and education within the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified candidates demonstrate research potential through their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for certain J-1 visa categories sponsored by Mayo Clinic, including Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns.

Requirements

• Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field considered relevant by the program.
• No more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
• Knowledge of either clinical-based research or laboratory-based research.
• Research potential demonstrated through training and peer-reviewed publications.
• Proof of English proficiency for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
