About The Position

Department of Biochemistry at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston Salem, North Carolina is seeking a qualified individual for an NIH grant supported post-doctoral fellow position to conduct research. The position is available immediately. The applicant should be highly motivated team worker. This position requires a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in cell biology, molecular biology, or ophthalmology from a University and at least 1 year research experience in vision research field. This postdoctoral fellow will conduct independent research projects studying vitamin A metabolism in the retina and RPE, retina degeneration and visual cycle. The person will fulfill required duties as a university employee. The employee is required to publish research papers and make presentations at scientific meetings. This person will also participate in mentoring new students in experimental skills.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree or equivalent in cell biology, molecular biology, or ophthalmology from a University.
  • At least 1 year research experience in vision research field.
  • Highly motivated team worker.
