About The Position

We are seeking exceptional post-doctoral research fellows/scientists to work in the field of precision medicine. The Shah lab at Mayo Clinic focuses on the development of and treatment for an aggressive blood cancer known as TP53-mutated myeloid neoplasm. These leukemias are highly aggressive and have no effective therapies yet. The applicant will focus on development of novel therapeutics for TP53 mutated myeloid neoplasms using in vitro and in vivo approaches. Specifically, the applicant will be responsible for performing and analyzing cytotoxicity assays, synergy studies, perform ADME, and perform animal studies using cell-line and patient-derived xenograft models.

Requirements

  • PhD in molecular biology or related fields
  • 1-5 years of experience
  • Strong publication record
  • Well versed in standard cellular and molecular biology techniques (cell culture, DNA, RNA, and protein studies, gene editing, and flow cytometry)

  • Interest and prior experience with mouse work—including xenograft models
