About The Position

Augusta Health is seeking a Research Coordinator to advance and support the organization’s scholarly mission across Graduate Medical Education (GME), clinical research, and community health initiatives. This role will provide coordination, guidance, and operational support for research projects, grant development, and scholarly publications. The ideal candidate brings experience from higher education, healthcare, or scientific research environments and is comfortable navigating Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes, grants, and collaborative academic work. This position plays a key role in strengthening Augusta Health’s culture of inquiry, evidence-based practice, and community-focused scholarly research.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree in education, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Two (2) years supporting research, grants, or scholarly publications in higher education or scientific settings.
  • Advanced organization skills
  • Project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to follow through.
  • Outstanding professional, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience supporting research, grants, and/or scholarly publications in higher education, healthcare, or scientific settings.
  • Familiarity publishing academic and scholarly dissemination
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and complete in a timely fashion.
  • High level of integrity while working with sensitive and personal information.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
