UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking two part-time Support and Applications Interns to join Research Computing. The interns will assist the RC Support and Services Team with developing support-focused internal CLI tools, databases, web applications, and APIs. They will also be involved in support request triage, application installation, reference data management, and other Tier 1 user support activities on the HiPerGator supercomputer. The internship is located in the New Physics Building on the main campus. Key responsibilities include the development of support-related scripts/tools/databases/web applications, installation, troubleshooting, and HPC adaptation of research applications on HiPerGator, support service request triage, and basic HPC user support via the ticketing system and Slack. Learning outcomes include gaining programming experience, a practical understanding of research computing infrastructure and applications, HPC application installation and troubleshooting skills, and developing customer service and communication skills.
