About The Position
The Laboratory of Dr. Misha Kwasniewski in the College of Agricultural Sciences, Department of Food Science at Penn State, University Park campus, is seeking a temporary, part-time research assistant to support ongoing analytical research projects related to beverage chemistry.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in analytical chemistry instrumentation and methodology
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ph.D. in Food Science, Chemistry, or a closely related field
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced analytical chemistry techniques including UHPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, preparative HPLC, and NMR to characterize beverage samples
- Analyze and interpret complex analytical datasets
- Assist with experimental design and method development
- Work with graduate students and other lab members on ongoing projects as needed
