About The Position

This position is available only to enrolled American University students. The Research Assistant (RA) will work with Dr. Balestra to contribute to her ongoing research on road dust. The RA will contribute to research by using the dissecting microscope to prepare and analyze road dust samples. This position is part-time, with an expected 15 hours per week.

Requirements

• Previous lab experience.
• Must be an enrolled American University student.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the professor on ongoing research project on road dust.
• Participating in the field work.
• Responsible for sample preparation and data analysis.
• Manage and dispose of used supplies in lab.
• General Lab housekeeping.
