About The Position

Conducts research projects using established protocols, processes and procedures. Performs behavioural imaging experiments of C. elegans. Maintains mutant strains. Performs crosses and genetic analysis of strains. Performs image segmentation analysis. Performs statistical analysis of results. Attends group meetings. Communicates progress, results, and summaries to the research group orally and in writing. Maintains data in a well-organized and accessible format.

Requirements

  • Basic research laboratory skills.
  • Media prep, molecular methods.
  • Behavioral experiments (recording, analysis).
  • Animal maintenance.
  • Team player.
  • Conscientious.
  • Undergraduate level neurobiology expertise.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with Caenorhabditis elegans.
  • At least one year of research laboratory experience.
  • BSc.
