About The Position

This Research Assistant 1 position is within the Department of Natural Resource Sciences at Macdonald Campus, McGill University, and reports to Joann Whalen, PhD (Professor). The role involves assisting with field set-up for agronomy experiments, collecting various samples (soil, gas, plant), preparing necessary collection equipment, and performing sample analysis for nutrients and other parameters. Key administrative tasks include record-keeping and data entry related to samples and other information.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree required
• Authorized to work in Canada
• Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located
• English communication both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Helping with field set-up for agronomy experiment
• Collecting soil, gas and plant samples
• Preparing sample collection equipment
• Sample analysis for nutrients and other parameters
