About The Position

The School of Dentistry at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant 1 to manage the operational aspects of clinical studies under the supervision of Dr. Hsu and Dr. Lampi. This role involves imaging using a prototype dental OCT instrument, screening and recruiting research participants in compliance with regulations, managing Institutional Review Board (IRB) forms, ensuring data safety, and maintaining accurate and timely data entry and record-keeping. Additionally, the position will manage the enrollment database, coordinate activities for the WINDOWS high school training grant, develop recruitment tools, and administer consent forms and surveys.

Requirements

Bachelor's in any field OR Associate's AND 1 year of relevant experience OR 2 years of relevant experience OR Equivalent combination of training and experience

Nice To Haves

Completed a dental assisting program
Clinical experience with patients

Responsibilities

Imaging using the prototype dental OCT instrument.
Screening and recruiting research participants in accordance with all applicable regulations.
Reviewing and modifying Institutional Board Review (IRB) forms in collaboration with investigators and trainees.
Verifying the safety of stored and exported data.
Ensuring all data is entered in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensuring all paperwork is appropriately filled and filed.
Managing the enrollment database and keeping it up to date.
Managing all IRB forms associated with the WINDOWS high school training grant.
Coordinating activities in Aim 1 of the grant that intersect with Admissions.
Developing recruitment tools such as media posts.
Administering consent forms as well as survey questionnaires.
