About The Position

Metrocrest Services is seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join their dynamic team at Metrocrest Resale, a nonprofit resale shop. The Sales Associate/Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional experiences and services for customers, performing sales transactions, resolving customer issues, and ensuring the store is welcoming by maintaining product placement and keeping a clean environment. The store's mission is to empower individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and foster independence, and every item sold helps support Metrocrest Services.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Monday - Saturday, between the hours of 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand and move for 6.5 hours per shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• 2 years of customer service experience.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
• Consistent, reliable attendance is vital.
• Ability to be present, on time, and ready to work for all scheduled shifts.
• Ability to reliably and successfully perform each essential function of this role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive customer experience from start to finish.
• Enter data into cash register by itemizing and totaling customers’ purchases.
• Provide pricing information and ensure store products are in the proper place.
• Resolve customer issues, answer questions, and explain specific return/guarantee policies to customers.
• Contribute to Resale Store and Agency goals by completing assignments and working collaboratively with team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
• Maintain product placement and keep a clean environment.
• Support teamwork, ensuring financial accuracy, and upholding the reputation of Metrocrest Resale and Metrocrest Services.
