This role assists with the development and monitoring of specific, measurable goals and objectives for the six ACGME core competencies. The position collaborates with Program Directors and Associate Program Directors to develop educational methods, maintain conference schedules, and manage clinical rotation schedules. It also coordinates the creation, dissemination, and monitoring of various evaluations for residents and fellows, inputs patient surveys, and ensures departmental compliance with ACGME and Dermatology RRC requirements. The role involves assisting with continuous quality improvement initiatives, developing educational curricula, and improving the use of information technology for educational purposes. Additionally, it requires developing educational portfolios, maintaining information in WebADS, monitoring ACGME Case Logs and Milestones, and managing resident/faculty surveys and summative letters. The position also coordinates semi-annual meetings between Program Directors and residents. For fellowships (Dermatopathology, MSDO), the role coordinates accreditation activities, facilitates program evaluation meetings, manages the Clinical Competency Committee and Program Evaluation Committee, and maintains Program Letters of Agreement. Administrative functions include directing residency and fellowship recruitment processes, managing work hours, preparing residency reviews, and developing/monitoring departmental educational databases. The role also manages the Clinical Dermatology Elective, including scheduling, communication, and proctoring. Finally, it involves constructing and maintaining a comprehensive program for rotations, conferences, and examinations, and assisting with faculty development initiatives.
