Requirement Engineer (w/m/d) Ref. 3279 Vienna Full-time immediately permanent 60% The AMS & Service Solutions team develops central individual software solutions for the Public Employment Service (AMS) as well as cross-customer digital services with high technical complexity. The team works on business-critical applications and shapes requirements at the interface between the business and IT in a modern technology and methods environment. The solutions supported include, among others, the core AMS applications, the AMS project portfolio, unemployment insurance, Kompass, and Navi.

Requirements

Completed IT education (HTL, FH, or University)
At least 5 years of professional experience as a Requirement Engineer or in comparable roles
Very good experience in requirement engineering at a senior level
Sound knowledge of Oracle, PL/SQL, and SQL
Routine in handling the Atlassian Tool Suite
Familiarity with agile development methods
Strong initiative and a high degree of responsibility and quality awareness
Very good communication skills at the interface between business and IT
Very good German language skills

Nice To Haves

Interest in current IT and Dev trends and modern approaches is desirable

Responsibilities

Model and document business and technical processes based on the BPMN 2.0 standard, creating transparent decision-making and implementation foundations.
Identify optimization potential through the analysis and re-engineering of existing, complex software and system structures and support their further development.
Elicit, analyze, and structure requirements in close exchange with stakeholders and translate them into implementable business concepts.
Take end-to-end responsibility for the entire requirement engineering lifecycle – from initial requirement to successful implementation.
Derive use cases, user stories, and business and technical specifications from the elicited requirements.
Define clear acceptance criteria and support acceptance and validation processes to ensure quality.
Create and maintain specifications and other structured requirement documents for traceable documentation.
Work closely with interdisciplinary Scrum teams and other requirement engineers in an agile environment and promote efficient, cross-team collaboration.
