About The Position

This role is responsible for the daily processing requirements in one or more assigned Human Resources functions, including Personnel Administration, Licensing/Records, Employee/Labor Relations/Employment. The position involves inputting employment information into databases, understanding personnel requisitions, employee badging, new hire paperwork, and personnel authorization forms. The Representative will process new hires, investigate employee concerns, and assist managers with labor matters, performance issues, and interpreting the collective bargaining agreement. Responsibilities also include managing disciplinary systems, responding to unemployment claims, coordinating company events, managing special projects, preparing documents and reports, supplying information to other departments, ensuring policy adherence, and interacting professionally with customers and outside suppliers/vendors. This is a deadline-driven role requiring multi-project coordination and flexibility.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of personnel requisitions, employee badging, new hire paperwork, personnel authorization forms (transfers, promotions, hires, terminations).
  • Ability to process new hires in accordance with company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to investigate employee concerns and complaints.
  • Ability to assist and advise managers on labor matters and specific performance issues.
  • Ability to assist managers in interpreting the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Ability to assist in the management of disciplinary systems and processes.
  • Ability to respond to unemployment claims and participate in Department of Labor hearings.
  • Ability to coordinate company-wide events, including holiday parties and employee recognition events.
  • Ability to manage any special projects and programs assigned.
  • Ability to prepare needed documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Ability to supply information to other departments.
  • Ensures adherence to policy and procedure.
  • Ability to interact with customers in a polite and professional manner.
  • Ability to organize work, input data, type, enroll, and assist personnel in various programs.
  • May interact with outside suppliers and vendors as directed.
