About The Position

Responsible for the daily processing requirements in one or more assigned Human Resources functions, including Personnel Administration, Licensing/Records, Employee/Labor Relations/Employment. This role involves inputting employment information into databases for accurate applicant file maintenance and requires a thorough understanding of personnel requisitions, employee badging, new hire paperwork, and personnel authorization forms for transfers, promotions, hires, and terminations. The position processes new hires according to company guidelines, investigates employee concerns, and advises managers on labor matters and performance issues. Additionally, the role assists managers in interpreting collective bargaining agreements, managing disciplinary processes, and responding to unemployment claims, including participation in Department of Labor hearings. The Representative also helps coordinate company-wide events, manages special projects, prepares documents and reports, and supplies information to other departments. A key aspect is ensuring adherence to policy and procedure, interacting professionally with customers, organizing work, inputting data, and assisting personnel in various programs. Interaction with outside suppliers and vendors may also be required. Other duties may be assigned. The work environment is diverse, fast-paced, deadline-driven, requiring multi-project coordination, prioritization, and flexibility for last-minute requests and changes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all inputting Employment information into databases to ensure proper maintenance of applicant files.
  • Processes new hires in accordance with company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Investigate employee concerns and complaints.
  • Assist and advise managers on labor matters and specific performance issues.
  • Assist managers in interpreting the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Assist in the management of disciplinary systems and processes.
  • Respond to unemployment claims and participate in Department of Labor hearing.
  • Assist with coordinating company-wide events, including holiday parties and employee recognition events.
  • Manage any special projects and programs assigned.
  • Prepare any needed documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Supplies information to other departments assigned.
  • Ensures adherence to policy and procedure.
  • Interact with customers in a polite and professional manner.
  • Organizes work, inputs data, types, enrolls, and assists personnel in various programs.
  • May interact with outside suppliers and vendors as directed.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
