About The Position

Reporting to the Team Lead, Asset Management, the Asset Representative will play a key role supporting the commercial performance of AltaGas’ Natural Gas Division facilities. This role offers the opportunity to apply strong negotiation, analytical, and collaboration skills while identifying and evaluating new business opportunities. Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline; relevant experience or supplementary education will also be considered
  • 3+ years of experience in gas processing, midstream, and/or oil & gas production
  • Proven customer service skills with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet critical deadlines
  • Well‑developed communication, critical thinking, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills
  • A motivated, self‑starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice To Haves

  • Upstream E&P experience and/or familiarity with the NEBC Montney is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing and new commercial arrangements with a focus on negotiating contracts, managing existing agreements, and evaluating new business opportunities
  • Build and enhance strong customer relationships
  • Collaborate with asset team (Operations, Finance, Marketing, Production Accounting, Legal, Project Execution, and Business Development) to ensure key strategic objectives are met while identifying and implementing asset optimization opportunities
  • Leas monthly asset performance reviews with external customers with a focus on operational performance, budget variance analysis and future development plan accommodation
  • Assist in annual budgeting and strategic planning for assigned areas of responsibility within the Midstream group
  • Coordinate and complete both internal and external information requests from a variety of stakeholders
  • Maintain awareness of market conditions, industry news, and events impacting natural gas, NGL, and crude oil markets, and assess potential impacts to AltaGas’ operations
