About The Position

National Asset Recovery Specialists is hiring an experienced Repossession Agent in Akron, Ohio. The role involves professional vehicle recovery and requires sound judgment, situational awareness, composure under pressure, and a commitment to safe, professional, and compliant repossession work. Agents receive equipment, fleet vehicles, real-time support, and advanced License Plate Recognition (LPR) systems. Routes and assignments are tailored for experienced agents, with an emphasis on independent, accountable work.

Compensation is listed as $75,000–$95,000, with commission opportunities of $75–$150 per vehicle and monthly bonus opportunities exceeding $2,500. A $1,500 signing bonus is offered to applicants with at least one year of verifiable repossession experience. This is a team position rather than subcontractor work.

Requirements

• At least one year of professional vehicle repossession experience; verifiable experience is required for the signing bonus.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with no more than two points on the Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• At least 23 years of age.
• Pass an FBI background check.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong knowledge of skip tracing, asset recovery, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Composure in high-pressure situations; self-motivated, accountable, and dependable.

Nice To Haves

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repossessions and asset recovery assignments safely, professionally, and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Use skip-tracing knowledge and available recovery tools and technology to support vehicle recovery.
• Work independently on assigned routes and assignments while exercising sound judgment and accountability.
