About The Position

This leadership role carries accountability for the design, build, and maintenance of RTAL's Planning & Performance reporting systems, and leads a team supporting the delivery of timely, accurate financial outputs. The Reporting & Systems Lead will own the reporting infrastructure across RTAL, ensuring structure, consistency, and scalability across Business Units and sites. You will be responsible for system administration and optimization, delivering P&P systems that are correctly configured and maintained while continuously reducing manual effort and improving output quality. This role is critical in establishing and enforcing data standards to ensure data integrity and governance. The Lead will champion automation of recurring processes, drive the development of standardized reporting templates, and manage the reporting cadence across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles. You will build dashboards and presentation templates that answer key questions and highlight critical performance metrics, while serving as the key liaison between P&P/Finance and IT/Systems teams. The role requires someone who can develop and coach their team while partnering closely with the Analysis Team to ensure the foundational data they rely on is accurate, timely, and serves its purpose.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field, with a professional designation such as CPA, CA, MBA or an equivalent graduate qualification considered an asset
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, systems administration, or planning operations, ideally in capital-intensive or operationally complex environments
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with proven ability to coach and develop team members
  • Strong systems proficiency with advanced Excel and data skills
  • Understanding of data architecture, hierarchies, and governance principles
  • Experience with planning and reporting systems such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Workiva, Anaplan, or similar platforms
  • Proven ability to automate processes and reduce manual effort through technology and process redesign
  • Structured, process-oriented thinking with ability to translate data issues into plain language
  • Strong ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
  • Collaborative mindset with continuous improvement orientation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and build trusted relationships across diverse teams and leadership levels
  • Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken. As a global organization, this role requires regular collaboration with colleagues, teams and partners outside of Quebec

Responsibilities

  • Own the Reporting Infrastructure (design, build, maintain) ensuring structure, consistency and scalability across BUs and sites
  • Lead System Administration & Optimization – deliver P&P systems that are correctly configured and maintained while continuously optimizing to reduce manual effort and improve output quality
  • Establish and Enforce data standards to ensure data integrity and governance, resolving data quality issues
  • Drive Automation of recurring processes, continually transforming and eliminating manual work
  • Develop and maintain Standardized reporting templates that the business uses consistently
  • Manage Reporting Cadence – set the calendar for monthly, quarterly, annual cycles, managing deadlines and ensuring timely output
  • Build dashboards and presentation templates that answer key questions and highlight critical performance metrics
  • Train and support business users on planning systems, reducing time on input processes
  • Partner with the Analysis Team to ensure data foundations are accurate, timely, and fit for purpose
  • Drive Continuous Improvement of P&P Processes – review inefficiencies and gaps and improve annual planning cycle process
  • Act as the key liaison between P&P/Finance and IT/Systems
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3 direct reports, setting clear expectations and building capability for a more digitally-enabled finance function
