About The Position

Allstar Recovery is seeking a motivated and reliable Repo Driver Assistant to support repossession operations. The assistant works closely with repo drivers to locate, secure, and transport vehicles and other collateral safely and in compliance with applicable laws. The role involves fieldwork, irregular hours, and may offer experience for those interested in advancing in the asset recovery industry. This is a commission-based position, with earning potential tied directly to performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in potentially tense or unpredictable situations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation.
• Ability to work irregular hours, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical fitness, as the role may be physically demanding.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
• Ability to get in and out of vehicles multiple times per day.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in repossession, towing, or asset recovery.
• Knowledge of repossession laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist repo drivers in locating and verifying vehicles subject to repossession, often using GPS tracking systems and other investigatory tools.
• Assist in safely and efficiently securing collateral and preparing it for transport, including loading and unloading vehicles onto tow trucks or flatbeds.
• Complete condition reports, inventory personal property found in repossessed vehicles, and take digital photos of collateral.
• Maintain professional and discreet communication with team members, dispatch, and, when necessary, debtors and local law enforcement.
• Assist with daily vehicle and equipment inspections and ensure tools are in good working order.
• Follow company policies and relevant state and federal laws governing repossession.
• Handle unexpected field challenges or situations calmly and professionally.
