About The Position

We currently seek to fill the role of Repairs Inspector to disassemble, clean, ans inspect RMA repair compoents, subassemblies, and assemblies, all while advancing KBC’s mission of being a forward-thinking, collaborative, and ethical business.

Requirements

  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments.
  • Demonstrates KBC values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED required).
  • Knowledge of standard tools, materials methods, and practices required in assembling product.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments (i.e. micrometers, calipers, tape measures, etc.).
  • Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
  • Must be able to read and write simple correspondence.
  • Should have the ability to maintain machinery, equipment, and tools used in assembly.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally; anything over 50 pounds requires two people, or the use of a lifting device.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects all component parts, noting required dimensions on inspection prints or other documentation provided.
  • Disassembles and cleans/power washes parts, assemblies, and subassemblies as needed for inspection.
  • Maintains organized storage of RMA components.
  • Performs equipment maintenance and housekeeping duties.
  • Aligns components and fastens them together.
  • Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.
  • Bends and installs pipe for hydraulic systems.
  • Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
  • Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
  • Plans assembly procedures and methods to assure efficient and timely progress. Inspects parts for proper machining finish and dimensions; checks and tests subassemblies and units.
  • May be required to repair parts as needed.
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
