About The Position

This is a safety-sensitive position. The Repair Tech will be responsible for repairing merchandise to company standards while adhering to all safety guidelines. This includes repairing various types of furniture and home furnishings such as recliners, couches, tables, lamps, beds, and dressers. The role involves accurate tagging and repair of merchandise, maintaining an organized workspace, and assisting other departments as needed. The position requires the ability to work safely and perform other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Ability to learn proper scan gun procedures and care.
Basic computer knowledge to operate Storis.
Positive attitude when working with customers.
Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling and safety procedures.
Must pass Respirator Fit test performed by medical provider.

Responsibilities

Repairing merchandise up to company standards while abiding by all safety guidelines.
Tagging merchandise properly and repairing merchandise as needed.
Being on time and ready to work with all materials.
Accurately and efficiently receiving and storing damaged merchandise using proper scan gun procedures.
Ensuring accurate inventory of damaged merchandise.
Repairing damaged merchandise; placing and managing merchandise on the floor.
Maintaining a clean workspace as well as clean "As Is" area.
Assembling furniture.
Assisting with other departments in the warehouse.
Working safely.
Performing other duties as directed by management.
