About The Position

This is a Safety Sensitive - Driving position. The Visual Merchandiser Tier I will be responsible for creating and maintaining a compelling presentation of merchandise that will engage customers and help stimulate sales activity, while ensuring the company's image and style are protected. This role requires attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks, including changing or rotating displays and signage, developing ideas for merchandise displays, and arranging properties and merchandise. The position also involves providing direction to Visual Merch Materials Handlers and assisting with arranging bays to best promote products, especially promotional items. Other duties may be directed by management.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and 1 chargeable accident within the last three years.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Positive attitude when working with customers.
Knowledge of employment, safety, and merchandise handling procedures.
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, typing, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Heavy Work: Lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 15lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly to move objects.

Experience and/or education in interior design preferred.

Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining a compelling presentation of merchandise that will engage customers and help stimulate sales activity.
Ensure that the image and style of the company is always protected.
Change or rotate displays and signage to reflect changes in inventory or promotion as directed by merchandisers, managers, or upper management.
Develop ideas or plans for merchandise displays or window decorations.
Arrange properties, furniture, merchandise, backdrops, and other accessories.
Provide direction to Visual Merch Materials Handlers on which product will go in each specific bay.
Assist with arranging each bay to promote all products in the best way possible, specifically focusing on promotional items.
Perform any other duties as directed by management.
