Repair and Tool Technician
About The Position
Repair and Tool Technicians evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. They recommend equipment and ensure that units are maintained. Technicians work in stores with Tool Rental Centers and in repair centers. In stores, technicians serve Tool Rental customers by writing rental contracts and repair invoices, checking that tools operate properly, and demonstrating their proper use when needed. They also support customer repair needs and handle the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department. At non-store locations, technicians repair units, test repair quality, and clean equipment before returning it to the store where the repair originated. They must have thorough knowledge of tools and manage tool inventory by maintaining and repairing equipment as needed.
