About The Position

Repair and Tool Technicians evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. They recommend equipment and ensure units are maintained. Technicians work either in stores with Tool Rental Centers or in repair centers.

In stores, technicians serve Tool Rental customers by preparing rental contracts and repair invoices, checking equipment operation, and demonstrating proper use when needed. They also handle the daily operation and maintenance of Tool Rental equipment. At non-store locations, technicians repair, test, and clean units before returning them to the store where the repair originated. The role requires thorough knowledge of tools and effective management of tool inventory through maintenance and repairs.

• Thorough knowledge of tools.
• Ability to effectively manage tool inventory by maintaining and repairing tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices.
• Make equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained.
• At store locations, serve Tool Rental customers, including writing rental contracts and repair invoices.
• Check that tools and equipment operate properly and demonstrate their proper use when needed.
• Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department.
• At non-store repair centers, test the quality of repairs and clean units before returning them to the originating store.
• Maintain tool inventory and repair tools as necessary.
