About The Position

The Rental Technician is responsible for the safe transportation, installation, servicing, and sanitation of portable restrooms and trash trailers at customer sites. The role includes operating vacuum pump trucks, trailers, and related service equipment; inspecting units and performing or reporting minor repairs; accurately documenting services using computer-based job logging systems; and providing professional customer service. Technicians follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety guidelines and maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of service vehicles, tools, and equipment. When not on service routes, they may assist with loading, unloading, and yard organization. The work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain. It involves regular exposure to sanitation chemicals, waste products, and unpleasant odors, and may take place in high-traffic construction zones or remote industrial sites where strict PPE use is required. Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience towing and backing up trailers.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Basic smartphone and tablet proficiency for digital logging and GPS navigation.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and pull long hoses.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to place units on uneven ground so they remain stable and accessible.
Ability to follow routes efficiently and complete service stops on schedule.
High attention to detail regarding unit cleanliness and service-log accuracy.
Strong communication skills for interacting with site managers and representing the company professionally.
Ability to identify potential job-site safety hazards before beginning work.

Responsibilities

Deliver, pick up, and service portable restrooms and trash trailers at customer sites.
Clean, sanitize, and restock units according to health and safety standards.
Operate vacuum pump trucks, trailers, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
Tow, position, and back trailers in compliance with safety standards.
Inspect units for damage, leaks, or mechanical issues and report or perform minor repairs as needed.
Secure and position units at job sites so they are stable and accessible.
Maintain accurate service logs, delivery records, and route documentation.
Record daily activities in computer-based job logging systems, including route completion and unit condition, and upload photos of completed services.
Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety guidelines.
Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of service vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Communicate professionally with customers about service schedules and site requirements.
Assist with loading, unloading, and yard organization when not on service routes.
