About The Position

The Part-Time Rental Representative works in an entrepreneurial environment and supports sales, administrative, service, and operations teams. This entry-level opportunity involves helping customers and managing vehicle rentals at the Franklin Park, Illinois location. The schedule is generally 10–20 hours per week while in school and 20–30 hours per week during summer and winter breaks. The stated pay is $22 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least six months of retail sales and/or customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to make independent decisions and work well in a team environment.
Customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude.
Proficiency with a computer, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's license and the ability and willingness to drive Penske vehicles, including a 26-foot box truck.
Regular, predictable, full attendance.
Maintain a current driver qualification file as required for this DOT-regulated role, including an annual motor vehicle records check, a completed DOT physical, and safety performance history records requests from prior employers in the last three years. CDL holders must complete a DOT drug screening within 30 days of starting and are subject to an FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
Willingness to work the required schedule and at the specified location, travel as necessary, complete Penske's employment application accurately, and submit to a background investigation and drug screening.
Ability to remain alert and work safely in a DOT-regulated or safety-sensitive position, and to accept responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
Ability to read, communicate verbally and in writing, remember and analyze information, and understand instructions or guidelines.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit; frequently use hands to touch, handle, and feel and reach with hands and arms; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
