Rental Representative - Part-Time

About The Position

The Part-Time Rental Representative is an entry-level role at Penske for a driven individual seeking to develop skills in an entrepreneurial environment. The role works with sales, administrative, service, and operations teams and handles sales, customer accounts, and fleet operations. It is generally scheduled for 10–20 hours per week while the associate is in school and 20–30 hours per week during summer and winter breaks.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to make independent decisions, work well in a team environment, and demonstrate customer service and organizational skills and a positive attitude.
Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's license and ability and willingness to drive Penske vehicles, including a 26-foot box truck.
Regular, predictable, full attendance.
Maintain the driver qualification file required for the role, including an annual motor vehicle records check, a successfully completed DOT physical, and requests for safety performance history records from prior employers in the last three years.
For CDL holders, complete a DOT drug screening within 30 days of starting and undergo an FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
Willingness to work the required schedule and at the required location, travel as necessary, complete Penske's employment application accurately, and submit to a background investigation and drug screening.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely, accepting responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
Meet the physical and mental requirements of the role, with reasonable accommodations as applicable, including reading, communicating, remembering and analyzing information, and understanding instructions or guidelines.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit; frequently use hands to touch, handle, and feel and reach with hands and arms; and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
