About The Position

The Rental Field Technician II provides high-quality equipment repair service to meet customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed. The role involves completing repair assignments, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, performing and verifying repairs, completing associated documentation, and mentoring Rental team members. The position requires up to 20% travel and is designated safety sensitive.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and to write simple correspondence.
Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Ability to provide management with accurate information for quoting.
Obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform the duties.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be certified in air-conditioning.
Successfully complete the Work Steps assessment.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat-rate times and re-do metrics.
Complete related paperwork and access required databases accurately and on time, including work orders, parts orders, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, and STW.
Remove and install parts; disassemble and assemble components; and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, recommend repairs, and perform critical Rental and engine repairs and adjustments.
Test and verify the correct operation of repairs and adjustments.
Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine the proper diagnosis.
Mentor Rental team members.
