About The Position

PAPE’ MACHINERY, INC. – CONSTRUCTION & FORESTRY DIVISION – is seeking a Rental Field Technician to join their team. This role involves working on rental construction and forestry equipment in the shop, ensuring accurate and timely repairs to support customers and maximize their uptime. The position also involves traveling the area in a service vehicle to perform work on equipment, interact with customers, and ensure jobs are done correctly. Requirements

• 1 or more years of experience in diagnosing and repairing all makes and models of new and used heavy equipment.
• A team-oriented personality, with the focus and drive to work without direct supervision.
• The discipline and skill to complete a technical diagnostic and repair training program.
• Must be able to pass a background check in order to apply for Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
• Must provide own tools.

Nice To Haves

• Type 4 driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on rental construction and forestry equipment in the shop.
• Ensure equipment repairs are done accurately and timely.
• Check rental equipment in/out.
• Fuel and clean equipment.
• Monitor the yard to ensure members are following safety protocol.
• Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions or failures.
• Travel the area in a service vehicle performing work on equipment.
• Interact with customers.
