About The Position

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is a federally recognized Indian Tribe located in Palm Springs, California. The Tribe owns and operates golf courses, casinos, spas, and a fuel station. This role is responsible for assisting other Project Managers in the planning, organizing, supervising, quality control, security, and safety procedures on assigned job sites. The position involves accurate communication of daily progress and highlighting potential problems.

Requirements

At least 2 years or more of direct hospitality or commercial construction and project management experience working for a developer, general contractor or project management firm.
Bachelor degree or High School Diploma/GED with work experience in the field.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Outlook.
General knowledge and understanding of commercial construction practices, processes, design, finance, and project management.
Able to communicate verbally, electronically and in writing day to day updates and issues to other members of the project team.
Must be able to stand, move and work.
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment, including computer, attend meetings at various sites on and off the Reservation; to inspect various work, buildings, construction sited or land development sites; strength to lift and carry materials and equipments up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Procore and/or other project management software preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Manager and Construction team members in various tasks throughout the project’s lifecycle.
Assist in managing the design and construction process, including coordination of schedule, bidding, construction administration and project closeout.
Assist in managing scopes of work as assigned, i.e. estimating, scheduling, specific project management tasks, finance and contract administration.
Assists in identifying problems or potential problems as they relate to the organization of the job.
Quality control to include verifying all materials received on the project.
Assist in project control (budget, schedule, trend logs, etc.).
Assist in creation of daily logs.
