Our Renewable Energy Services team provides Technical Due Diligence, Construction Management, Owner’s Engineer, Insurance and Offtake advisory services across wind, solar, and energy storage projects worldwide. We compete with Tier 1 technical advisors by combining senior-led, hands-on attention that delivers the technical rigour, commercial clarity, and pragmatic, finance and delivery-focused insights needed for renewable energy projects to succeed. We are seeking a Project Consultant - Renewable Energy to support technical due diligence assignments for lenders, investors, and owners across wind, solar, and energy storage projects, as well as other services within the department.

Requirements

  • Having 1 to 3 years of experience in technical due diligence, Independent Engineer work, or developer/owner-side technical roles.
  • University Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (other engineering or physics discipline considered)
  • Exposure to project coordination or technical leadership within due due diligence or development contexts.
  • Familiarity with PVSyst (solar) and/or Wind Energy EYA tools
  • Experience advising on utility scale Solar or BESS assets
  • Good analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational, communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and ability to work to own initiatives.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail to produce quality work with good time management.
  • Hold a valid drivers license.
  • Eligible to work in Canada or pursuing a work permit.

Responsibilities

  • Support high-quality technical due diligence across design and contractual scopes required for financing and transactions
  • Review electrical and grid interconnection designs, including single-line diagrams, compliance requirements, and interconnection studies, under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Support independent solar (PVSyst) and/or Wind Energy yield assessments, including data screening, loss factor analysis, and probabilistic scenarios (P50/P90)
  • Assist in translating technical findings in financial model inputs and identifying commercial implications for lenders and investors
  • Prepare clear, concise, lender-ready report sections and supporting documentation within project timelines
  • Collaborate with wider infrastructure advisory colleagues on permitting contracts, and schedule reviews
  • Contribute to technical assessments of key project contracts (TSA, EPC, O&M)
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and project documentation to support technical advisory engagements
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to the preparation of client deliverables and presentations.
