About The Position

The Rendering Supervisor at JBS USA is responsible for overseeing production employees in the Rendering department, ensuring adherence to procedures, safety, and cleanliness. This role involves meeting production goals, managing claims, maximizing yields, controlling costs, and maintaining positive employee relations with the Union, USDA, and maintenance staff. The supervisor must also ensure compliance with food safety, human resources, and safety policies.

Requirements

High School degree or equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-2 years proven supervisory experience in the Beef or Pork industry
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally in English
Computer knowledge required
Good organizational skills
Ability to work 50+ hours
Good attendance record (Less than 3 points, for internal candidates)
Supervision of Personnel: Hourly direct reports (6-12 ), production employees

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field preferred
Bilingual skills helpful

Responsibilities

Meet and exceed production goals set forth by plant management
Supervise production employees
Monitor and ensure proper procedures, safety, and cleanliness of production employees
Ensure policy compliance with all production employees
Perform various duties as assigned
Responsible for meeting volume goals, reducing claims, maximizing yields, reducing cost, employee retention and maintain good working relationships with the Union, USDA (meat), and maintenance employees
Ensure compliance with food safety, and all human resources and safety policies
