About The Position

Lead maintenance and reliability for a rendering plant within a large food production operation. The manager owns equipment, systems, and infrastructure and is accountable for keeping the plant safe, compliant, and operating. The role is accountable 24/7 for critical assets and partners closely with operations. This is a direct-hire, full-time, on-site position in Millsboro, Delaware. Relocation assistance is available. The manager is on call for plant emergencies 24/7. The industrial work environment includes heat, noise, odors, moisture, outdoor work, climbing ladders, and working at heights.

Requirements

At least 7 years of industrial maintenance experience.
At least 3 years leading or supervising maintenance teams.
Experience managing maintenance budgets, programs, and contractors.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or maintenance management, or equivalent experience.
Background in rendering, poultry, food, or feed manufacturing.
Experience with CMMS, reliability-centered maintenance, and predictive maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop maintenance supervisors, mechanics, technicians, and contractors.
Build and improve preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
Lead root cause analysis of equipment failures and improve uptime and asset life.
Manage maintenance planning and scheduling, the CMMS, and equipment records.
Enforce safety programs, including LOTO, confined space, hot work, and contractor safety, as well as OSHA and environmental compliance.
Manage the maintenance budget and KPIs, including availability, downtime, PM completion, cost, and reliability.
Lead capital projects and major equipment installations in coordination with operations, engineering, EHS, and safety.
