About The Position

The Renal Assistant - CVH Renal Dialysis position is a temporary part-time role, approximately 12 months in duration. The successful candidates will be responsible for priming, cleaning, and disinfecting Hemodialysis machines, setting up supplies, and preparing bedside charts/treatment records for patients requiring dialysis treatment. Additional duties include transporting patients to and from the Hemodialysis Unit via wheelchair and handling prescription/physician order forms and medications between the unit and the Hospital Pharmacentre.

Requirements

• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Able to read, write and speak English
• Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A positive work and attendance record is essential

• Experience in hemodialysis as a renal assistant
