About The Position

Kids Unlimited Therapy Services is seeking a Full-Time Front Office Coordinator for a temporary position, expected to last approximately 6 months, to support their pediatric therapy practice in Oak Park, Illinois, during a leave of absence. The role is crucial in creating a warm, organized, and family-centered experience from the initial interaction. Kids Unlimited provides high-quality pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapy in a nurturing, fun-filled, child-centered environment, working with children, families, and schools to help children build confidence, develop skills, and reach their full potential. Requirements

  • Detail-oriented, organized and confident managing a busy front desk
  • Experience with EMRs and clinic operations
  • Thrives in a structured environment and isn’t afraid to enforce policies tactfully
  • Natural problem solver and multitasker with a service-first mindset
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • EMR or scheduling software experience

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of front desk, medical office, or customer service experience
  • Prior experience in a physical therapy or medical setting

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients with warmth and professionalism - whether in person or by phone
  • Own the check-in/check-out process including collecting co-pays
  • Manage scheduling, cancellations, and appointment flow
  • Handle patient registration and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and referral sources
  • Help keep front office operations organized, efficient, and family-friendly
  • Track insurance claims, denials, and follow-ups
  • Support overall front office operations and clinic efficiency
