About The Position

KenCrest is hiring Remote Support Professionals (RSPs) to provide remote support services to individuals in residential group home settings. The role involves active monitoring, as-needed (PRN) supports, and emergency response, while engaging individuals to promote greater independence. It is suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, remains calm under pressure, and helps people build independence through remote support. The RSP serves as both a life coach and personal support agent, requiring attention to detail and creativity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience supporting individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to convey, understand, and follow spoken and written instructions in English.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with and empower supported persons regarding health, medication, safety, daily living, and independent decision-making.
• Respond to emergency requests from supported persons and, when needed, escalate by dispatching backup in-person staff and notifying and coordinating with emergency services.
• Troubleshoot remote-support technology in homes and provide ongoing technology training to supported persons and their caregivers, parents, or guardians so they can use in-home devices.
• Observe wearable devices when supported persons are away from home and provide assistance or interventions as needed.
• Engage with supported persons and promote a positive environment that fosters respect and dignity within a cultural context.
• Identify, prevent, and report abuse, exploitation, neglect, and other adverse events.
