About The Position

SAIC is seeking a full-time Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) to join its Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the Philadelphia International Airport ATCT/TRACON in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The position supports air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This is not a UAS, UAV, RPV, or drone pilot position. The RPO acts as pilots and other controllers in an air traffic controller training simulator. Using a simulated radar display and voice communication system, the RPO simulates pilot actions and communications from remote ATC facilities during medium- and high-fidelity training exercises. The operator receives voice commands from students, enters the appropriate information into the automated system, interprets displayed information using ATC terminology, and responds through the voice communication system using proper phraseology. Candidates must complete classroom certification, including passing a test on airspace and procedures, and lab certification, demonstrating performance as an RPO on all positions.
