About The Position

Yingst Building Group is seeking an experienced Remodeling Carpenter II to join their growing Remodeling team. This role is designed for a skilled carpenter who can independently handle a wide range of residential remodeling tasks and is looking to develop towards a Lead Carpenter position. The carpenter will work on various remodeling projects, applying their expertise and problem-solving abilities while upholding Yingst Building Group's standards for craftsmanship, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Previous professional carpentry or residential construction experience required; remodeling experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of residential construction methods and materials.
Experience with multiple areas of carpentry, including framing, trim, doors and windows, cabinetry, drywall, flooring, and related remodeling work.
Ability to accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install materials.
Ability to read and work from construction drawings, scopes of work, and specifications.
Proficiency with common hand and power tools used in residential construction.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners, coworkers, and trade partners.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of residential construction work, including regularly lifting and carrying materials and equipment up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled carpentry work including framing, drywall, cabinets, windows and doors, trim, flooring, exterior work, and other remodeling activities.
Accurately measure, cut, assemble, install, and finish materials with limited supervision.
Read and work from construction drawings, scopes of work, specifications, and work orders.
Identify jobsite conditions and resolve routine construction and installation issues.
Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools and other jobsite equipment.
Assist with demolition, jobsite preparation, material handling, protection of finished surfaces, and cleanup as needed.
Maintain clean, organized, safe, and professional jobsites.
Communicate job progress, material needs, questions, and potential issues to the Lead Carpenter or Remodeling Supervisor.
Work effectively with homeowners, YBG employees, and trade partners while maintaining a professional presence on occupied jobsites.
Support and provide guidance to less-experienced carpenters when appropriate.
Follow all company safety policies and jobsite procedures.
