About The Position

Murphy Bros. Design|Build|Remodel is seeking a skilled Carpenter with 43 years of experience in residential remodeling to join their growing team. The Carpenter will work from blueprints, drawings, and direction from Lead Carpenters and Project Managers to execute residential remodeling projects from framing through finish work. This role offers hands-on, varied work with opportunities to enhance carpentry skills.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in carpentry preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Solid understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
The ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
Strong verbal and written communication skills
The ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
A detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and quality

Nice To Haves

Formal training in carpentry or drafting/blueprint reading
Trade certifications

Responsibilities

Complete and assist with tasks such as framing, installation of doors and windows, trim work, cabinetry, flooring, and other structural or finishing elements
Utilize hand tools, machines, and power tools
Work from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions, ensuring adherence
Follow safety protocols and keep the worksite clean and organized
Understand project requirements, timelines, and budgets
Interpret specifications in project scope, sketches, or building plans to assist with project layout and determine dimensions and required materials
Effectively communicate with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and other personnel to provide project updates, address concerns, and resolve issues
Complete progress reports, work logs, and material records
Communicate change orders and submit reimbursement requests in accordance with applicable policies
Accurately input timekeeping information to ensure correct job costing
